who is carrie and what’s so scary?

Carrie has many scaries floating around in her big, wrinkly brain, but she isn't scary—at least not most of the time! Her creativity is primarily fueled by her emotions, which appear to be a bountiful and bottomless well of tears, laughter, despair, optimism, and more tears. Topics and things that scare, anger, and depress her often appear in her drawings and projects (e.g. income disparities, harassment, lack of body autonomy, and bugs.) Others are predicated on more comforting ideas (e.g., laying in the sun, her dog, her boyfriend, napping, being cozy/cute, positive self-affirmations, etc.).
